Overview[]

Authentic Triple Katana or ATK for short, is a sword that can be obtained in the New World by killing a Hydra or (hydra tier 1 is 1%, tier 2 is 10%, tier 3 is 30% and tier 4 is currently unknown) Sea King . The drop chance from a chest after having defeated a Sea King is dependent on the rarity of the chest, with the highest rarity being a tier 3 chest. The drop rate is very low, making it a difficult sword to obtain. Many consider this to be the best sword in the game alongside Dark Blade and Hell Sword, as it has the highest damage for a sword and is an excellent Kenbunshoku Haki breaker.

Authentic Triple Katana V2[]

You must first be level 3000+. Then you must talk to the NPC in the zone of Dead Tundra with the Authentic Triple Katana equipped. Then, kill Doflamingo on the island of Fiore. You must finish him off with the m1 of ATK. This applies to all the NPCs in the process of getting ATK V2. After you defeat him, you will obtain a diverse sphere. Use this to light a fire in one of the colosseum pillars. Next, go to Loaf Island and talk to an NPC in the cafe. You will be tasked to kill the Dragon boss. You will get another diverse sphere, and you can light a fireplace beside a brown-roofed house next to an arch bridge on the island of Fiore. Lastly, go to Shred Endangering and talk to an NPC that is hidden inside a grey pillar you can go through at the back of the spawn building of the island. Summon the Lucidus boss and kill him with the m1 of your Authentic Triple Katana on your last hit and he will drop to light another diverse sphere. Use the diverse sphere on the fireplace on top of a building near the Devastate (3725) quest giver (You can see the fireplace from the quest giver). Then, head to the arch bridge near it and you can find an NPC on top of the arch. He will tell you to find someone named 'Walter'. You can find Walter inside a red-roofed house behind the arch bridge on the island of Fiore near the Fiore gladiator NPCs. Then, you will have to pay him $30 million, 1 Hydra's tail and 3 Sea King fins to obtain ATK V2.

Please note that the following damage stats provided below are with the maximum sword stat (4,125).

Note: These are outdated.

Although its damage does increase, Authentic Triple Katana is not affected by Busoshoku Haki as much as other swords. Although, either way, it is always recommended to use Busoshoku Haki.

Base swing[]

The base swing of this weapon deals 5,001 damage with Busoshoku Haki and 4,751 damage without Haki. This sword has the unique attribute of having a sub-special that happens every 4 swings. Every 4 swings a small blue tornado is summoned and damages anything that touches it. This tornado is created after 4 consecutive swings, with there being no limit to how many tornadoes the player can create. This tornado is created from the player's body and lasts for 3 seconds. The tornado hit 3 times, each hit dealing 3,000 damage with a total of 9,000 damage. The damage of the tornado remains the same regardless of whether Busoshoku Haki is activated. The player is not stunned or interrupted mid-swing by the creation of the tornado, so it does not hinder the user’s performance in any way (currently ATK v2 has a different m1 than a tornado. Instead of the tornado, the fourth m1 of ATK v2 resembles several dark blue cuts surrounding the character. These cuts deal around 3,000 damage with slight stun. (someone please put the m1 animation and damage of ATK v2)).

The user draws their left and right hand swords back and slash forwards creating a round projectile made of wind. This projectile is a white blast of air that is fairly small, and travels at a good speed. This move has much smaller range in comparison to other sword projectile moves, but deals a significant amount of damage to make up for it. This move counts as 1 hit, and lasts for 1 second. This move can be held to keep the user suspended in the air. This attack deals 11,075 damage with Busoshoku Haki and 10,645 damage without Haki. The refresh is 5 seconds. This attack is devastatingly powerful, and can easily kill lower level players or take out large portions of an NPC’s HP.

Authentictksecondmove

The user spins their left and right swords, and when released dashes towards the cursor. The dash distance is small, and a split second after the dash 10 slashes appear and damage anything that touches them or is close to them. This move is small and does not have very much range, but is extremely powerful to compensate for the lack of range. This can be held to keep the user suspended, and lasts for 2 seconds. Winding Blade can be held to keep the user suspended in the air, and can also serve as a small dash to travel with. The dash can be aimed in any direction, the slashes will always appear regardless if the dash is hindered by an object such as the floor or a wall. Winding Blade hits 10 times, each hit does 1,720 damage totaling at 17,600 damage with Busoshoku Haki and 17,200 damage without Haki. Kenbunshoku Haki is completely destroyed with this move, and still deals 3,520 damage left over. On a max level player with max defense stat, this would leave them at 37,830 HP.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Devastating Damage, currently the 4th highest only outclassed by the Phoenix Blade, Dark Blade (Night Blade), and the Acroscythe.
  • Moves are fast, low windup and decent range.
  • Claimed to be the sword with the most powerful m1 in the game, known for its good damage, fast swing rate and the Hurricane effect.
  • Breaks Ken easily.
  • Much better than its predecessor, the Triple Katana.
  • Not too hard to get if you're lucky in terms of chests.
  • Unfairly Overpowered in PVP when you get it to V2, a S tier weapon for PVP
  • V2 ATK DESTROYS observation and a extremely good combo extender/starter
  • Combining this + Electro v2 is a extremely cancerous combo to counter.
  • Good damage for grinding if V2.

Cons:

  • The Z has a medium range while the X has pretty short range.
  • Moves can distract you in PvP.
  • Unable to do well in PvP if you have poor aim or poor timing.
  • You have to be at least level 3000 to be able to trade this.
  • Difficult to get V2.
  • The Version 2 Z move is bad for grinding, because the NPC can still attack you and cancel the move.
  • V1 version is bad for PvP due to small hitbox and bad range.
