Expert Swordsman

Basic information[]

The Expert Swordsman is an NPC that is a direct reference to Shanks, one of the four emperors of the sea. He wields his drop, Gryphon which in game is called Shanks Saber or just Saber. After the revamp, the NPC is confirmed to have 2.5 million HP. This was lowered from 3 million HP to decrease the difficulty. After the Update 5, Expert Swords man, as well as other raid bosses, got a nerf that decreased its HP from 1.5 million to 440.000. This nerf is due to the change of Stats Point, allow it to be easier to defeat without to much difficulty.

Expert Swordsman appears every 2 hours and will de-spawn after 30 minutes, which means he must be defeated within that time frame otherwise no one in the party will receive rewards or his sword.

How to defeat[]

The Expert Swordsman not only has a massive amount of HP but also deals devastating damage. He can throw Sabers most powerful attack, Holy Sword which deals around 7,000 damage. He does not use Haki, so the sword’s damage isn't at its max potential. The Expert Swordsman also has a slash attack, which is a red horizontal half circle projectile. Kenbunshoku Haki will save you from a complete Holy Sword attack, which will only leave you with 3 dodges left. If you do not have Kenbunshoku Haki then the easiest way to not get killed is to simply keep your distance so as to not get caught in his Holy Sword. Due to the time limit of 15-20 minutes, all players involved in defeating him must do as much damage as possible within the time frame. High damage fruits like the Dragon Fruit, Dough, or any fruit that deals high damage are needed. The Love-Love Fruit, despite not dealing much damage is extremely useful since it will keep him stunned. A better fruit for damage but sacrifices stuns is the Gear Fourth (Snake Man) version of the Rubber fruit, which has only 1 move that stuns. Any high damage sword will also work like Triple Katana, Dark Blade, or Napoleon/Mom Blade. It's recommended to do this with at least two players, as it is very difficult for most players to defeat the Expert Swordsman without help. The targeted player should go on top of the ice pillar on the island while everyone else attacks the Expert Swordsman.

Rewards[]

The main reward that most people will fight the Expert Swordsman for is the Shanks Saber. His reward is around 300K Beli and 2,500,000 EXP. The rewards are not split between whoever damages him you get the same reward no matter how many players are helping you. To get the rewards you must atleast do 40-50k damage. (not confirmed)

Trivia[]

Despite shanks having one arm because of saving young luffy. Expert swordsman still has both arms(that might mean luffy actually died so you dont see him in this game)
Despite being 1st Sea boss he drops the most beli out of any boss 2.5 million to be exact
